In a study based on data from comScore MobiLens service, results showed that there are 37.9 million Apple iOS users; a number 59 percent greater than Android users, who totaled 23.8 million. comScore counted use of iPhones, iPad and iPod Touches for the Apple category in the study.

The study also showed the choice of smartphone brand

Zinio CEO Rich Maggiotto has posted an open letter apologizing for the digital newsstand being down for several days last week and attributing the problem to "misconfigured operational scripts that took down both core and redundant servers at our datacenter."

RDA Holdings Co., the parent company of The Reader's Digest Association, announced today that revenue in the fourth quarter of 2010 dropped 15.9 percent to $521.8 million compared to the fourth quarter of 2009. Meanwhile, net income rose to $58.5 million in the fourth quarter, compared to a net loss of $26.7 million for the same period last year.

Looking only at the company's performance since February 2010, when RDA emerged from bankruptcy protection, it generated $1.5 billion in revenue,

The National Magazine Awards for Digital Media 2011 finalists have been announced by Sid Holt, chief executive of the American Society of Magazine Editors.

The awards will be presented on March 16th, 2011. Nicknamed the Digital Ellies because of the Alexander Calder stabile "Elephant" given to winners, the ceremony will be held at the Hilton New York.
