The PDA award ceremony for Mr. Listevnik to mark the completion of his work in Russia as a CEO of Burda took place on May 19th, 2011.

The ceremony was attended by the PDA President D. Martynov, Burda CEO J?rgen Ulrich, PDA chairman A. Oskin, deputy head of the print media and publishing department of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications G. Kudy.

The PDA President, Mr. Martynov, awarded Mr. Listevnik with a remembrance medal "For the active participation in the Russian print media market” and the farewell address.

Mr. Kudy presented Mr. Listevnik with the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications certificate of merit "For the contribution to the development of media industry and publishing in Russia".


Arnd-Folker Listevnik expressed gratitude for the awards as well as thanked the PDA and the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications for their cooperation over the years.

Mr. Listevnik said in the address to his colleagues: "The print mass media distribution has improved dramatically over the years that I worked in Russia thanks to all of us. I am grateful to the PDA and all the Russian print mass media distributors for their excellent work and support."

Martynov, noted that the Mr.Listevnik’s contribution to the development of the Russian print mass media distribution and publishing was immense and allowed both industries to grow and move forward.

The PDA Chairman of the Board, Mr. Oskin, said that over the years the PDA and the publishing house Burda have had mutually beneficial relationship. Members of the Press Distributors Association had more than one opportunity to intern in Germany. Furthermore, the publishing house Burda has always actively participated in the PDA events. Mr. Listevnik was a valued PDA board member. In 2009, Mr. Listevnik was awarded the PDA Gold Medal. Mr. Oskin also pointed out that Mr. Listevnik was mainly responsible for the success of the publishing house Burda in Russia. His talent and expertise made Burda the leader of the Russian magazine market. For the past 15 years in Russia, Mr. Listevnik has been contributing to the development of the media industry in Russia and Germany, creating a unique and efficient flow of magazines in Russian.

Burda CEO, J?rgen Ulrich, assured in his speech that just like during the times when Mr. Listevnik was the CEO, the relationship between the publishing house Burda and the PDA will continue to develop and grow stronger.
