An unprecedented campaign to boost the number of newsstands in Kiev

The number of newsstands in the Ukranian capital is to double in the near future. Based on the Integrated plan for temporary structures, 802 new kiosks selling printed media will be built (Kiev’s population is 2.9 million).

Those kiosks will be built in addition to the existing 423 (as of January 1, 2014).

MegaFon will assist in delivering the latest editions to the residents Udmurtia

MegaFon’s data plan will help to procure the residents of Udmurtia with new issues of newspapers and magazines, said the company’s spokesperson.

The newsstand chain “Informpechat” has activated the distant control service, which allows the real-time monitoring of sales at any specificlocation. That would enable timely delivery of newspapers, magazines, books and novelties in high demand.

“Informpechat” has over 100 locations in Udmurtia. According to the chain’s CCO Andrei Ogarkov, MegaFon’s technological innovations have significantly improved the logistics and helped to provide the Udmurtian customers with latest issues in a timely manner.

The launch of subscription campaign in Crimean post offices

The Russian Post offers subscription for 4,000 periodicals in Crimean post offices, according to the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. In order to ensure the start of the subscription campaign simultaneously with other regions, 1,000 of subscription catalogues were delivered and distributed among 500 post offices.

The residents of Crimea could subscribe to Russian press before; however, the choice was limited to a few hundred of popular titles. The Russian Post plans to expand the printed media selection in order to make available to the residents of the republic all 15,000 titles offered in the catalogues in all regions of Russia.
