Source Interlink Media Takes Majority Stake in Indian Auto E-Retailer

Source Interlink Media is making a play for the Indian automobile market by taking a majority stake in Carazoo, a company that provides e-marketing solutions and software for car and motorcycle dealerships in India, and operates the online auto marketplace Carazoo.com. Source, which publishes a number of titles in the automobile vertical, including the Motor Trend Group, expects to use the platform to tap into India's growing auto sector for both its advertisers and content brands.

Outlet shops at the Moscow subway will be inspected quarterly

The retail and services outlets located in Moscow underground will be inspected on quarterly basis in order to improve the service quality and the safety of the passengers, said the Metro press release on Thursday.

"During the inspection a committee consisting of representatives of various subway services will check thesanitary condition of facilities, availability of all documents and permits necessary for the conduct of business,compliance with the Subway and fire safety regulations," said the statement.

Google Folds Paid Content Service One Pass

After only a year and some change, Google folded its paid content platform One Pass. According to reports, Google made the decision public on its blog.

One Pass launched in early 2011, shortly after Apple announced its subscription model. The service appeared to be another option for publishers who did not want to play by Apple’s subscription rules; One Pass promised participating publishers the freedom to set their own prices and terms of sale for digital content on Android platforms.

Publishing in Russia 2012: Shifting Retail Landscape

Back in 1990, there were nearly 8,500 bookshops in Russia. By 2009, however, the number had plunged to no more than 2,500, according to the Russian Book Union. Even Top Kniga, Russia’s largest book chain, had shrunk from 700 to 450 stores, and is now teetering on the brink of bankruptcy yet again.
