Eurasian Media Forum opened in Astana

The Eurasian Media Forum is an international discussion platform, which every year brings together more than 600 delegates from 60 countries.

The Forum started its activity in 2002 with words of welcome from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and since then has established itself as a macro-scale event with a range of influence covering political, economic and social issues.

In the past 15 years it has created a new channel of communication between representatives of the largest international media structures and world-class opinion leaders.

Russia was represented by journalists and media managers: Michail Gusman (deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS), Alexey Pivovarov (General Director RTVi International), Sophie Shevardnadze (journalist Russia Today).
