The growth rates of the Russian advertising market continues to slow, falling to 5% in the first nine months of 2014. For the first time in few years the online display of advertising went down, the revenues from the placement fell by 2% - to 12.9 billion rubles. The most significant drop is still going through the printed press, which almost did not notice the returned from August beer commercials.

The Russian Association of Communication Agencies calculated the volume of the advertising market in Russia in the first nine months of 2014, it grew by 5%, to 242 billion rubles, without VAT. Market growth slowed more than twice, compared with the previous year: in January - September 2013, it was 229 billion rubles. with a 11.4% of growth. In the third quarter, advertisers spent 77,5 bln rubles on promotion - 5% more than the year before. Of this amount, 33.7 billion rubles. had on TV, 21 billion rbl.- on the Internet, 7 billion rbl.- on printed media, 3.9 billion rbl.- radio. The most difficult for the market may be the fourth quarter: in September ZenithOptimedia published forecast, according to which the growth of the market on the basis of the entire 2014 will be only 1.2% instead of previously estimated 6.6%.
