"Russian Post" improved delivery times in 71 regions of the country

Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation reported, that the company Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian Post", under the Ministry, significantly improved delivery times of written correspondence. Thus, the indicators of meeting the deadline for delivery of the main inter-regional routes in the past year have improved in 71 regions of the country. If in the second quarter of 2013 standard was observed only in three regions of Russia, in the second quarter of this year - for the 35 regions, more than 90% correspondence was delivered to recipients in a timely manner.

In addition, in the second quarter of 2014 "Russian Post" generally consolidated the positive trend  of compliance the target dates for delivery of written correspondence on interregional routes. Compliance with target dates for delivery of letters for the year increased from an average of 53.49% in the second quarter of 2013 to 84.1% in the second quarter of 2014.

Delivery time on interregional routes declined in almost all regions of the Central, Northwest and Volga federal districts.

Rates remain stable also for mail delivery within the regions of the Russian Federation. More than 95.6% of intraregional written correspondence in the country is delivered to recipients within the prescribed period, which shall not be more than 5 days. This figure for the last year has increased by four percentage points. In Moscow and St. Petersburg performance indicators for the target dates constitute 77% and 96%, respectively.

The data on the improvement of terms of delivery of correspondence is based on the audit of Roscomnadzor of "Russian Post" in the regions of the Russian Federation.

Remind that during 2013 a new management team of "Russian Post", headed by Dmitry Strashnov revised principles of mail delivery in the enterprise, making it possible to achieve positive results.

"We have entered into direct contracts with leading airlines, conducted an open competition for trucking, signed an agreement with the Federal Passenger Company, tightened control of the delivery time of sorting items for each node. These steps will shorten interregional mail delivery, "- said General Director of FSUE" Russian Post " Dmitry Strashnov.
