The largest associations of printing press supported the measures of Russian Post for the conservation of the subscription circulations

Press Distributors Association and the Guild of Press Publishers approved an action plan for the conservation of the Russian Post subscription circulations within the subscription campaign for the second half of 2014.

Measures proposed by the Post were  discussed on April 3, at the meeting of the Deputy Director General of the Russian Post Inessa Galaktionova with representatives of the federal print media and the largest associations of periodicals. In conditions when the subscription campaign began without government subsidies for the first time since 2008 and Russian Post was forced to revise the tariffs for subscriptions deliveries, the company at the same time not only retained all earlier prices, but has proposed new measures to encourage subscribers.

By this time, the company plans to decide on the terms of the traditional subscription decade, which will be held this spring in the new terms and new time-frame. Further activities are planned in the advertising subscription solutions for the regional press, development of retail trade press in post offices, improving the quality of delivery of subscriptions to the subscribers.

- We had an important and strategic conversation, - said the Chairman of PDA Alexander Oskin, at the end of the meeting. Participants of the meeting discussed the joint action plan and agreed to hold regular meetings in the framework of such subscription campaign, that will allow them to make quick decision and begin to prepare for the autumn subscription campaign in 2015.
