Preparations for the PDA conference in Thailand

The PDA’s XXVI Media Conference "New ideas, new technologies and new media for the printed media market of Russia 2014"will take place in Pattayya (Thailand) on April 5 – 13, 2014.

In connection with the requests regarding the past unrests in front of government buildings in Bangkok and the conditions of conference participants in Pattaya, PDA’s Secretariat held consultations on the issue with the competent authorities. Based on these consultations, we do inform you that anti-government demonstrations in Bangkok are generally in the relationship between government and opposition in the existing system in this country and pose no threat to both people and for tourists coming to Thailand. In the city of Pattaya, where the conference is planned , there has never been , nor are there the opposition and anti-government demonstrations. As we were informed by travel partners , the basis for any concern is completely absent.

Please be informed also that the kingdom of Thailand – it’s a country with a rich history. The current head of the state King Bhumibol Adulyadej is ruling the country 67 years , during his tenure 19 governments were replaced in the country, but these changes did not affect the stability and order in the country.

In this regard, the Secretariat of the Association believes that holding PDA’s media conference in Pattaya will be successful , participants will be able to not only active and fruitful work within the program, but also to get acquainted with the historical heritage, culture and traditions of the Kingdom of Thailand .

We remind you that if you apply before December 15, 2013 and pay before January 15, 2014 the favourable conditions for the participation in the conference will be available.
