An electronic library is opened in St. Petersburg’s metro

St. Petersburg once again justifies the title of European Capital of Culture. In the metro of St. Petersburg, in "Moskovskaya" station a self-publishing service SamoLit.com project started. The purpose of the project - to draw attention to contemporary authors and to the use of e-books in general.

Large light box posted in the lobby of the station presents the cover of the books with QR-codes. Reading the QR-code, the reader gets to the page of the book on the samolit.com site, where he can download it at any convenient format for his tablet, Smartphone or mobile phone. The deployment of such light boxes, but with a different content at other stations in St. Petersburg metro is planned in the future.

Samolit is a great opportunity for readers to complete their digital library. All main electronic formats like classics as well as novelties of modern literature are presented in the portal. Besides that, the reader can support the beginning writers with his voluntary donations.
