NewsOnline advertising growth rate has reduced
Q3 showed a 5% decrease in online advertising growth rate. Last quarter brought good results to communication market in Russia: during January-September 2012 the market increased 14% compared to the same period 2011 and reached the level of 205-206 billion rubles. Online advertising is still the fastest growing segment, but it showed lower growth rate. Spending for ads in various Russian media in January-June 2012 increased by 13% compared to the first half of 2011. TV advertising remains the largest segment, which growth rate increased from8% to 9%. So, spending for TV ads reached a 94,8-95,3 billion rubles. Online advertising growth, which has established records for several seasons, significantly reduced to 40% from 45% in the first half of the year. More significant decrease was noted just only on display advertising market (from 31% to 25%). Radio and outdoor advertising shows a 20% and 10% growth respectively.
